Shear Magic is a boutique salon located in the lovely Colonial Williamsburg area of Virginia. We are passionate about staying up to date with all of the latest trends of styling. We are dedicated to keeping all of our clients beautiful no matter what style or service they prefer.
Ashley Foster has just taken on the role of Shear Magic's owner & lead stylist in early October of 2017. For years her dreams have been to own her own salon, and that dream has finally become a reality after 13 years of being a stylist.

**Starting October 1st, our system stopped allowing tips on credit/debit cards. Our stylists will accept personal checks and cash. If you have any questions give us a call or stop by the front desk on your next visit!**
Our Policies Protect Our Stylists
Did you know that in our industry, most Stylists earn their income by commission? This means they do not make a salary and they do not get paid hourly. They earn their living by taking care of the guests in their chair. If a guest doesn’t show up for their appointment or cancels with little notice, this doesn’t leave an opportunity for the Stylist to book another appointment. With that being said, we have
24 hour notice for cancelling appointments or it will result in a charge of $35.00 and No Showing an appointment will result in a 50% service fee charge. Our clients will generally be allowed a 10 minute grace period. After that time, we will call to check in on you.
If you are able to make it in time for your entire service to be completed, great! If not, you may have to forgo parts of the service in order to keep it in the time allotted for you.

Did you know that at Shear Magic Salon, at any given moment, we have three to ten guests waiting on a cancellation list for appointments? We as an entire team are booked two weeks out, especially on Saturdays! We have continued to grow because of this demand by adding more stylists meaning more availability for guests! Given this demand, we have to enforce our policy to protect those who are eagerly waiting for their appointments.
Grace & Exceptions
We understand that accidents happen, people get sick and/or emergencies occur. We will do our best to accommodate these rare occasions with grace. Our goal is to be preventative in order to protect and accommodate our team and guests. If you need to cancel after the 24 hour period, your cancellation fee may be waived at the discretion of the Salon Owner. Please give us a call in this case.

Service & Product Guarantee
We always want you to be 100% satisfied with your services. If you are not 100% satisfied we ask that you contact us within 7 days of your appointment so that we may schedule you to have your services corrected free of charge or receive salon credit on technical errors. Any refunds are done on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Salon Owner.
Just as we want you to be satisfied with your hair we want you to be happy with the products you are using as well. We will gladly accept returns for refund/store credit on any products within 14 days from purchase as long as at least 2/3 of the product is remaining.
Our salon is child friendly, but please make sure they are attended within the waiting area at all times during your service. There are many hazards such as sharp shears, slippery hair, and cords that could cause harm in the off chance a child is left unattended. We have limited space around stations, and may also disrupt our other guests who are relaxing during their services in the salon.
